Murals
Murals - large image applied directly to a wall or ceiling. That is what a dictionary says. Murals can be painted inside or outside, encompass a whole room or only a part. I paint many different kinds of murals such as decorative trompe l?oeil (pronounced ?trum ploy?) that creates the illusion of seeing reality. The architectural elements of: columns, pillars, and arches can be included in murals. This adds a richness and complexity to the design of home or office. Other kind of murals include faux finishing. Those were found throughout history, beginning with the Egyptian Pharaohs who employed artists and craftsmen to imitate wood graining, using techniques in faux finishing. Both a faux finish and a piece of trompe l'oeil art are used to create an illusion, that "deceives the eye".

I do most fun window paintings at Christmas Time. I get really busy at the beginning of November through December. I also do temporary signs in stores, like Specials, Sales, Closing or Seasonal Promotions. I use an acrylic paints and markers. It's easy to wash and fun to do.
